Inspired By Design

Owner Katherine Muss, shares a little history of the building:

In 2020 my husband Scott Dallen and I bought an amazing heritage interest building in Dungog NSW which was originally built by Edmund Coote as an Angus and Coote Jewellers in 1911.  It has 3 separate shop fronts with each accessed from the main street (Dowling Street) and  through internal doorways within making it an arcade in description. It also boasts a beautiful residence above and out the back of which we have made our home.  We are a mixed business keeping the traditions of the building alive as like the 3 generations of the Rose family before us - we are living in and working from the building. Pretty rare these days!

We love our Aussie made chalk paint, waxes and finishes. We have an array of stencils, wallpapers, fabrics and hardware of bits and bobs which may be found here to make your project complete or add that special touch. We stock  Bathurst Pressed Tin Panels, knobs galore old and new, Mezzie and Frank Chalk Effects furniture paint, home maker items being decor and furniture, soft furnishings, readymade curtains, some Australian made Cloth Fabric some patchwork and haberdashery items of beautiful quality, lighting, wallpaper and a bit of bling to help make it all the more enjoyable being fashion, armour and jewellery.

Our stock is 95% new with some vintage and antique items in the mix ... It is a great fun and authentic space.

We regularly make a mess here in our workrooms with fluff and stuff and as such we welcome custom made projects and encourage those preferring to take on the DIY challenge.
